Advertising and industrial photographer, Miguel Vallinas spends much of his time of his personal work in studying the landscape of nature, urban landscape, contemporary architecture and portaraits. His latest work ‘Roots’ reflects on the construction of the self, providing a visually striking meditation on the unseen influences that ground us and allow us to flourish as individuals. ‘Roots’ is basically a collection of shrubery and flowers possessing human bodies and it ponders on the reason behind these beings to sprout from the root. Miguel Vallinas says, “Roots searches once more in human nature for ‘what we believe we are, what others think we are, what we really are and what we would like to be’.”
