Deep within the chaos of the city, there’s a small voice coming up.
It begins with an artist’s brush moving across an abandoned space, and slowly transforms into a chorus of several others joining in. Some more paint brushes, some more eyes. Some street art.
And Pune watches itself being transformed, and thinks about Inkbrushnme, and Harshvardhan Kadam.

Harshvardhan Kadam is an illustrator, a director, a dreamer. His alter ego resides in his studio, Inkbrushnme, a platform that has helped fire his potential into powerful visual making.
Harshvardhan has taken his love for mythology and combined it with the prowess of visuals and storytelling. This union has brought to life the most majestic of artworks, that he takes to public spaces all across Pune, under the name of his beautiful masterpiece, Searching for Empty Walls Disorder.
I am trying to retain the essence of the stories that my mother told me. The kind of people that get excited about them are from various religious backgrounds. These stories unify people.

SEWD has brought art to the public domain, to the humble streets where it is being accepted, and not being rejected in the name of vandalism.
There are very few times when a normal citizen gets to see how an artist works. You make an artwork in a public space and the space changes.

When I hear from people, the entire reaction makes the artwork complete – complete, powerful and relevant.
Harshvardhan’s work tells a story of identities, of communities and of imagination.
The streets need a little more colour, a little more character.
And oh, aren’t we thankful that the journey has already begun.
