If you are in Mumbai, then you might have had the chance to stroll by an inviting, beautiful store by the name of Le Mill. If you walk in, you will be dazed by the 1930’s built rice mill that has now been redone as a posh and chic space for all things exquisite and fashionable.
The French-inspired décor and a large shipping container within the store is a nod to the Franco-European roots of the founders and the origin of the mill as a warehouse for a shipping business.
The store stocks some great international labels like Stella McCartney, Valentino and Balenciaga to home-grown ones like Shift by Nimish Shah, Bodice and DhruvKapoor. It is a paradise for all fashion lovers! They cater to the fairer sex and the younger flock of kids.
They have exquisite pieces of jewelry, bags, clothes and even swimwear available at the store. The collection they have for their interior décor is equally astounding. We absolutely love it all!
But you know the best part? You don’t have to miss out on all the fun even if you are not in town or would not have a chance to visit the City of Dreams anytime soon. Le Mill also sells their amazing collection of clothing and accessories online on their site. And that is not all; the site also has curated look books from different labels and a wonderful blog. The blog in itself is so insightful, though they don’t post as frequently as we would love them to.
It talks about a lot of things that you may have heard of or seen around yourself but never actually had the chance to dwell deeper. It talks about a pop-up ice cream cart that came up within the store to Humans of Bombay and even the curiosity -invoking character of Princess Pea and her friends. So if you aren’t sure who is Princess Pea and why is she so important or who was Bill Cunningham, fret not, the blog is to your rescue.
The store is a mind-blowing concept and the site is a delight so we can safely say that Le Mill is something we are surely looking forward to and a visit to the store is definitely on our Bombay bucket list and we sure hope it gets ticked off soon!
