A mundane wall brought back to life by a group of DU students

Faced with a blank purple wall in the canteen and the arduous task of bringing it to life in a matter of 5 days, Gargi College’s Fine Arts Society ‘HUES’ put on its thinking caps to face the challenge head on.

And so, discussions and whatsapp conversations transformed into an amalgamation of hand-drawn sketches and googled images, which in turn made way for chalk outlines and coats of paint.

With constant improvisation along the process, and clearing hurdles of budget constraints and minimal resources, the team members finally ended up with this masterpiece of a creation!

One of the team members came out with this beautiful rhyme expressing the team’s vigour and artsy endeavours:

“Soak in the beautiful views,
As you wait in the canteen queues;
Vanquishing the Monday Morning Blues,

Here come the lovely HUES!”
