Every creative person likes to doodle, sketch and write in their notebooks, and of course we always carry them around. Shouldn’t the exterior of your notebooks be as gorgeous as the interior?
Here are a few creative DIYs to make your notebooks much more interesting and fun!
1.Marble Painting
If you adore abstract patterns, this is definitely the one for you!
What you’ll need:
- Shaving Foam
- Food Colour (that you can buy here)
- Paperweight
- Masking tape
- Paper towels
- Plastic or metal ruler
- Plastic spatula
- Rectangular baking dish
- Watercolour Paper
Step 1: Cover the back of your paper with masking take in order to conceal it and prevent it from getting spoilt.
Step 2: Take the shaving foam and spray it into the rectangular baking dish. Add a few drops of food colour.
Step 3: Stir and mix the two, but not a lot. Wouldn’t want to lose that beautiful texture!
Step 4: Press the paper against the mixture gently with your fingers. Don’t wait for too long as the paper might get wet!
Step 5: Lift the paper out and gently scrape off the shaving cream with the ruler, in one sweeping motion. Leave the paper out to dry!

2. Cut, Snip, Paste!
What you’ll need:
- A printout of images of your favourite places
- Scisscors
- Pencil
- Fevistick
Step 1: Make any shape on the back of your image. For example, circles.
Step 2: Cut out the image, and paste it on your notebook!

3. Galaxy-themed Notebook!
What you’ll need:
- Black notebook
- Dark Blue paint
- Sky Blue paint
- Hot pink paint
- White Paint
- Sponge
Step 1: Dab a coat of dark blue paint on the hard cover black notebook with the help of the sponge.
Step 2: Do the same with yellow light blue paint.
Step 3: Repeat the process with magenta or hot pink.
Step 4: Blow dry all your paint with a hair dryer, so the paint doesn’t smudge.
Step 5: Dip your paintbrush in white, and sprinkle it on the notebook.

4. Map Your Travel Journal
What you’ll need:
- A black marker
- A world Map
- Fevistick
- Tape
Step 1: Fold and Paste your map around your notebook.
