A good car can take you places, literally. Cars are more than just transportation. Cars can be a status symbol, a place to sleep, or a way to break free. We’re chirping about the weirdest cars that have come into being, crazy cars that took it to a whole new level and shocked the world with what they represented.

1. Go Green

Many people have taken the liberty to cover their cars with- wait for it- grass! We don’t know whether this is people’s way of giving back to mother Earth but it definitely is ironical to cover the pollution machine with green. Rick Griffiths, co-owner of Dream Turf, covered a 1974 VW Super Beetle with synthetic grass in his own garage with the help of 900 screws. After more than three months and 120 hours of labour, The Turf Bug was ready for a spin!

2. Catmobile

We finally have the female counterpart to the Batmobile! Just kidding, this is just a cat car: a car that looks like a giant cat. Well, not really, but tries to.

3. Is It A Bird? Is It A Plane?

Now this one’s an actual marvel because it’s not only weird but also comes with great specifications (for its time). 1953 General Motors Firebird 1 XP-21 is basically a jet fighter with four wheels, a cockpit, and a 26,000 rpm with 370 horsepower. Weird or awesome?

4. Duck Car

Glow in the dark giant duck that carries people – that’s what this car is. We don’t think you need any more words for this one.

5. Spider-mobile?

Why should cats have all the fun? This car overshadows all else, quite literally with enormous spider shadows. It’s a car placed in the center of gigantic spider legs, a sight for bored eyes.

6. Invisible Car

Kumho, a South Korean company wants to convey the message that a lower carbon footprint is something we should all be striving for. They’re promoting their eco-friendly tires by displaying an invisible car which definitely makes it into our list.

7. House Car

This one brings the grand finale to our list. A two-storey house complete with balconies, on wheels! Whoever said one needs a house and a car stands corrected.
